2019 Support After Suicide Charity Luncheon

Monday 9th September

93 people attended the 3rd 2019 Support After Suicide (SAS) Charity Luncheon presented in conjunction with the Geelong & District Freemasons, raising over $14,000.

All the proceeds from this event go to funding Hope SAS Service, directly supporting suicide awareness, prevention and bereavement.

We have many people to thank, in particular our fabulous MC, John Patterson, who did an amazing job on the day. Donna Bowman, Founder of Those Left Behind gave a raw and inspiring personal story prompting a standing ovation. Justin Gidding’s keynote speech gave us an insight into his journey to CEO of Avalon Airport was at times funny, and always inspiring and insightful. Thank you to all.

The venue at the Dome, looking across Geelong is a unique and amazing venue, and the staff couldn’t be more helpful and supportive. The RKG Group  provided us with a beautiful meal on the day.

Marcus Falconer, Hodges Real Estate again provided us with his Auctioneer skills, successfully auctioning a range of items donated from Cricket Australia, Hat Rock Winery, the Beach House at Bayside and Little Creatures Brewery.

Raffle items and door prizes were thoughtfully donated by Bill and Sue Sheahan, Rixons 343 Hairdressing, Great Ocean Road Chocolataire & Icecreamery, Adventure Park, Union Street Wine Bar, Anglesea Golf Club and Faggs.

A big thanks to our Table Sponsor, Tuckers Funeral and Bereavement Service.
